Hi, Good morning everyone. We hope you had a great nights rest? We did and we are glad we were woken up to a new day. God still remains faithful and I know He is in Your life.
We woke led to go through 1st and 2nd Corinthians one more time.
You know, every human, one way or the other have been bestowed with one gift or the other. 1 Corinthians 12:4 affirms this.
We've been given a platform to perform and impart. It's a great thing that God is concerned about us that He shares these gifts generously according to what He determines as our capacity. It's another Blessing when these gifts draw attention and we realise How people are in the quest to come to the brightness of our rising. Yeah, cool right?
I mean there's the company, there's the honour, there's the fame, there's so much expectations and we even imagine our glory flooding nations and into all corners of the earth. Wow,that sounds great, I mean you're spurred to declare and redeclare the Scriptures -"...all things are possible... " and "...I can do all things...". All these are quite amazing and even a desire men and women of God nurture with tenderness. God, knows we need these gifts to prepare us for the life He's given us, He's aware that we'll be absolutely empty without some talents, without some special and unique characteristics that makes us stand out, being who we are. But a question stares us in the face and sometimes it pinches us but we turn on the procrastination switch again. It is - "What have we use these gifts for?". And when we feel these gifts have been used greatly another question pops up- "Is God receiving the Glory for the use of them?" Are we desiring even His share to ourselves? Do we use these talents in expectance of being called big names, of receiving material gifts, and commanding all sorts of respect with the influence God has given u?
I think many of us, have misplaced God's Glory. This part of the Scriptures is calling back our attention.
Found in the first Chapter of 1st Corinthian.
Vs 26 For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called. 27 But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; 28 and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, 29 that no flesh should glory in His presence. 30 But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption— 31 that, as it is written, “He who glories, let him glory in the LORD.” (NKJV).
Come to think of it, if even the Human army ranked officials receive better accolades than the actual fighters, How much God, who stands alone with none besides Him?
Think about this, as a letter to the Church leaders and every Christian.
